I began my career in PR at a B2B tech agency in New York City, where I quickly developed a passion for the fast-paced environment, the people, and the strategic storytelling that drives media wins. I’ve found a home at 983 Group, working alongside some of the most creative, passionate, and dedicated people!

• Notable Achievement: Like many new clients, one of my first had their sights set on being featured in TechCrunch. With little hard news and meetings with VCs hanging in the balance, we developed a story idea focused on their mid-year momentum. After research, outreach, and relentless follow-up, I secured the exclusive, leading to a great feature on the company! That fueled additional media opportunities, including a TV spot with NBC Bay Area, and helped the company solidify investor meetings to move funding forward.

• Favorite Connection: I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some pretty incredible people throughout my career. One connection that really stands out to me is with the first person I ever managed directly. I hired her as an intern at my previous role and worked very closely with her as she navigated her first role. I learned a lot from her, and from being her manager and was thrilled to watch her continue to grow! We got to know each other outside of work and have stayed in touch as we moved on to new opportunities. We continue to be a support system and sounding board for each other.  

• Best Part of the Job: What I love most about PR is getting through to a tough media contact and landing meaningful coverage for a client! Crafting a compelling story is key, but timing also plays a big role. When all the elements finally align, and the reporter you’ve been pitching says,  “Yes, let’s do it,” it’s incredibly rewarding.
